Background & Establishment of Organization

Mogapi Mogapaesi Foundation (MM Foundation), is a non-profit company that was established to close the access gap to Quality Education, healthy nutrition and barriers to Early Childhood Development (ECD). MM Foundation firmly believe that Children entering school should be prepared and ready to benefit from the formal education. It is well recognized that ECD plays a substantive role in preparing a child to thrive in primary and secondary school, but not all children in South Africa have access to quality ECD services. This can lead to increased levels of disadvantaged, compromised health, eventually recurring cycle on national, social and economic problems. MM Foundation delivery platform aims to combat this by providing No fee-paying ECD centre for children between the age of 3-5 years old and create a self-sustainable food security program around Greater Moruleng village. MM Foundation is laying the foundations for a sustainable source of healthy produce organic food to augment feeding schemes. The program will also educate children, ECD practitioners and community members on subsistence farming. We will introduce ECD Programme which aims to ensure access to food through subsistence farming at 8-10 local ECD centre and improve the quality of children’s life and the communities we serve.
